Mobile Stats

I stopped capturing those packets and was day dreaming. My thought was grazing, I recollected my area of interest, In a grocery store when a customer buys bread there is more probability that he/she will also buy jam. So keeping those items close by will make more customers buy it. This is a simple association rule. One can analyze raw data and conclude on patterns. Meanwhile I received my mobile bill statement. It was interesting to look at the stats in it. I started Analyzing...

Local HH:MM:SS 02:27:02
STD HH:MM:SS 03:06:42
ISD HH:MM:SS 00:37:02
===================
Total HH:MM:SS 06:10:46
===================

This data seems to be fair. I got more people to talk outside the city I work. Also those dear one's who are across borders and sea2.

SMS - Local Messages 24
SMS - National Messages 6

These are spent in sending those forwards. Thanks peeps! You din get annoyed by my request. I guess I wont need them any more. :-)

National Roaming HH:MM:SS 10:15:47

Ah! Here is the twist. My total local talk time was 06:10:46 which is 4 hours less. I had been traveling so much? Actually not much. I had been off to wish this couple and celebrate time at home. I guess it would plunge this month, unless I make it to the annual get together vacation.

Next, I browsed thro all my contacts and picked up those probable contacts, I would have sms'ed or called. I did a search to see hit rate. (Hit Rate: Call+SMS)

Rank #1 - 140
Rank #2 - 77
Rank #3 - 34

Interesting again, Rank #2 is only half of Rank #1. Special Thanks to #1 and #2. Contrasting people! They made sure the month is not boring. Rank #3 is a median of several winners in the close proximity. Did you read your bill?

Hibernating again

All my bags are packed
Im ready to go
Im standin here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin
Its early morn
The taxis waitin
Hes blowin his horn
Already Im so lonesome
I could die

Thats "leaving on a jet plane" by John Denver in Rhymes & Reasons. First thanks to Gopal to get me this play list in less than a day and sending it across. Its such a awesome collection of few of our favorite number. But yeah I would again go for an unplanned hibernation. :) My grace period is up. Its actual owners needed it back. Got to return the spare mobile and hold my peace for sometime. Now that I hate Motorola, what buggy code the engineer had accepted to ship. :( Next pit stop is Nokia for sure, but not sure when. But yeah, thanks Big Beautiful Fish. It was one roller coaster ride and I say "Thank You". Only regret is that wished I could backup, din have a choice. Flushing them! Still I have my old online phone list to help me out. Scheduling post for daylight...

Ctrl + Alt + Del

I'm restarting. Restarting from the scratch. Well, if you had known. I lost my mobile while walking somewhere in my office. I was not able to trace it back and hence I declared it as lost. (My old number still holds good, have got a duplicate SIM to it). So now, as I'm trying to rebuild my contacts. Do contribute by filling the following if you think I can call you and disturb. :)

Thank a Ton in Advance. :-)

'Virgin' mobile

This huge banner near a main traffic signal, caught many commuters when they were waiting for the red to clear. I was also one among them. Took a quick second to click it. No wonder why cellular industry is booming.

But ironically my question was who is going to be benefited by this offer? Guy or girl?...

Nokia BL-5C

Recently SMS are flooding with this text. "BL-5C" - It has been reported by Nokia that certain set of batteries manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. Ltd. of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006, dislodge on some short circuit scenario. Relax, first lets confirm if its not a hoax! This official report from Nokia confirms that its not a hoax! Wait, now don rush to the nearest Nokia showroom for an battery exchange, your request might be declined. In Nokia's official announcement, he has given a simple way to check if your batteries belongs to a replaceable category. You can send Nokia your battery identification number and verify it. You can do that the end of this page. Fortunately mine, dad, mom mobiles are not inc in the replaceable list.

Mobiles have become part of everyones life. They always stay close to us than any other electronic gadget. When you talk of mobiles, here are few things to remember. Not just Nokia, anything.
  • Never use Mobile in Driving (THUMB rule)
  • Never use them in Gas stations.
  • Never use them in when they are in Charging. Contradiction (When your loved ones are at the other end, you don wanna to disconnect the call by putting it in charge and cont speaking)
  • Use branded chargers to charge them. (We have the habit of saving money by buying a duplicate, which ultimately can cost your mobile life)
  • Replace damaged parts with genuine parts.
  • Do not keep them in pant pockets (I don have a reliable source to support this)
  • Do not keep loud weird ring tones and annoy others. (courtesy: Srihari)
You want to voice on any more things to remember, write a comment to get added in the list.
