She said...

She was tensed than usual. Still her hair dribbles drops of water with the mild aroma of shampoo. With all the hurry, she gets her red bag from the corner. Stuffs those dresses that she intended to take. Talking to herself, but her inner voice is loud enough to echo the room. Hesitates... Holds the flight ticket in her hand sits on the bed for one last thought. Can I just skip this flight? Can I call and say, "amma I'm not coming? I missed the flight" After a deep breath she realizes that she couldn't hold her sweat from rolling out.

By 8am she is sitting in the passengers lobby after the security check. Trying to distract her from thinking about it, she tried reading all the sign boards that she could see. But like a child, she's not able to read and stares at them. It was the longest flight journey for her though it was less by 11 hours when compared to her previous journey.

Reaches home. The next day morning and after some preparation she gets into the car. She feels why is this unusual silence in it where only the car spoke with its horn. She traveled from home down to a town. She forces a smile across her face now and then during the travel. Her uneasiness curve steeps up. On reaching there, every such gathering would have a common person with great sense of PJ. A round of introduction happens and people start staring at those two poor souls. What are they supposed to do?

She said, she wanted to speak. Where could they hide with so much people gathered around? A elderly man said, "you can use the near by primary school". She din prepare for this interview (1:1). So both ran out of questions. Neither him after the jet lag he had he wanted to sleep, than have a conversation. Breaking the ice was his "Hi...", She replied "hi..." "sollunga... (tell me)" By the time they both knew their name and what their parents do, she could already hear that same voice she had been hearing for 22 years. "Here we come..." Are you folks done? Damm!!! Is this interview (introduction only interview) so short. Now what?

Getting back home, she sat down and started crying. They asked her, "Why do you want to cry now?" Did you like him? "he seems to be a good guy". You liked their family? "They seems to be nicely put up". Hell, why do they want to answer for her question? She kept crying.

Onniyum puriyala (sathiyama I didn't understand). Why did she cry? Did they know each other previously? What does that last "NEE" signify? I am not intellect enough the understand the concept or metaphor that is hidden. Please explain. Nandri...

@sankar is it so bad that you din get it. :(

A girl -> takes flight to her home town -> next day -> goes with her parents to bride groom home -> all family is gathered there -> first talk with him alone in that school -> they get back -> of the sudden changes in her life, she reacts by crying (mapilai paaka ponathu)
