English Premiership

I second Srihari and write this post.

Disclaimer: You don't have interest in Football & sports, better skip this post. (Esp girls)

Yes, now I have found a useful way to spend my boring Bangalore weekends excitingly. If F1 was exciting, EPL is nerve racking. I love these lines from Sri's blog "Ohh ahhh , Wat a goal , hits the Cross bar , watta save from the goalkeeper". This is how this season is plotted for me. I'm behind the "Red Devils" - Manchester United. Cheering for them as never before. Still the 116th min goal in the last FA Cup final that took the cup away from us is still in my eyes. The Blues will pay for it. Clubs God Father Sir Alex Ferguson is leading the club for the record 21 seasons. The players are in good form. We got Ronney & Saha upfront, best midfield of the league with Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo, hargreaves and solid defense of vidic, ferdi & O' shea. If you penetrate the ball those all there legs. You got one more big hurdle to cross Edwin Van der Sar.

The lows of this season would be missing the magic of Hendry who was transfered to Barca. The season kicks off today (fixtures) So far its been a wonderful season of sports, wishing to get more treat in the coming days. Wishing Man U retains the Silverware.

Way to go dude!!! Somehow football seems to excite us than never before .. Iam been poisoined by this Liverpool sting :)

Lots at stake this season , FA cup, EPL, UEFA cup , Champions league and lots more , Guys dont forget the "La liga" , the world's bests showcase their talents there ... Iam supporting the Nou Camp giants (Barca)....

Its such a great aura to watch football and keep following it..

"You don't have interest in Football & sports, better skip this post. (Esp girls)" - thts such a sexist stat!
neways will ignore tht for now...'n leave my comments...
1st of all EPL comes no where near to 'La Liga' or even 'Serie A'...If you want to watch "Football" 'n not just an imitation of it, then watch the latter ones...
Leaving aside my dislike for 'Arsenal', should admit they are the only ones who "Play" in EPL...
'n lows...hmm...how i wish he had stayed @ Arsenal itself...now i fear for barca... :(

"EPL comes no where near to 'La Liga' or even 'Serie A'" - under what grounds do you compare them. My opinion they are altogether different kind of football. The could be compared only on common grounds like Champions league. But stats says out of the last 4 teams last season 3 were English clubs. So can I argue English football is better? Still debatable.
i wish he had stayed @ Arsenal itself. - keep your fingers crossed, my gut feeling says its one of the best transfers this season.

English football is like Indian Cricket. True for every reason :-) ...

@puthali ,,,

The La liga and the Serie A are of different genre .. La liga is even more exciting , considering the last season where the title holders had to be decided on the last match .. For almost an hour the Catalans had the La liga , but the power packed Real showed them who they were ...

So its as well thrilling for me to watch a Serie A match between Catalans Vs Real or a Espanayol Vs Valencia ... I think its just the way the game is played that matter s @ the end of the day ...

Its good watch the Brazilians show the class in the La liga in the likes of Ronaldinho , Robinho ..

Should there be a Salary Cap in Football?
Personally I think there should be! It’s just getting to be stupid money in football at the top of the premiership!
It’s always the same teams at the top proving that football success is based purely on money which ruins the idea of it being a sport! They’ve done it in rugby, basketball, hockey and American football and it makes the sports more competitive and better to watch!
I do a little Football Betting Online from time to time and most matches don’t hold much surprise who is going to win, its boring! I want to see a team at the bottom pulling off an amazing season beating last seasons winners in a close fought battle!
Make things fair! It shouldn’t be about money!

Plus!
All there is all that money in the premiership and barely any of it stays in the UK so it’s not even helping the economy!
From my Spread Betting, if I ever win big (which is never, I’m unlucky) it’s still nothing compared to the average premiership players weekly wage!
