Novell - IDC, Bagmane

Its official now! Novell, Software Development (I) Pvt Ltd has moved to a new facility in Bagmane Tech park, C.V. Raman Nagar, Bangalore. It had been a long wait for all of us to move to Bagmane. Finally the reckless and dusty Hosur road can be avoided finally. We are few among those who have opted to move into the city from outside the city.

The President and CEO Ron Hovsepian and other executives like Kent, Joe and many others came down to inaugurate the new facility. Ron gave a key note followed by other executives. There was an employees Q&A where the last question from Abi was on "Do's and Don't as a CEO?". Ron finally ended his note with few words from his mom, "You got two ears and one mouth, so use them proportionately!" Then a fantastic effort to capture all Novell geeks and nerds in a single frame. It turned out to be fun capturing all in a single photo outside the facility.

In brief, Bagmane office is cold, spacious, pleasant with vibrant colors, neatly designed cubicles, more than enough cupboard space, aerial view (I sit on 7th floor), food courts and most important of all not so much crowed as the Hosur road. A welcome change in daily work. Thanks to all those who have been behind in making this happen.

Got to go now, many things to burn down.

@Srihari
I wish I could, but its not. I have mentioned "burn down", which is unique word of its kind. Its always "burn up" an very occasionally its "burn down". Its a terminology used in scrum development to quantify the amount of work done for a sprint. Basically "burn down" is a graph of metrics that depicts your work that moves down from an estimated X to 0.

I found your blog while searching for Novell on Google. I enjoyed reading your blog. Just as an FYI. "Cold" is an adjective used for describing a place that is not warm and friendly. I know what you meant when you said cold (as in air-conditioned to keep the heat out).

Oh yeah.. Its meant refering to the air-conditioners. Otherwise we are a single family inside. Family photo here :)

Does your facility have a working gym? If so, what equipments does it have?

Oh Yeah! They upgraded the Gym in the new office and looks cool. Will try to share a pick or two.
