And, the amount of detailing in your blog gives a complete picture.SRISHAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11559207886012048762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16805286.post-55934682817725870582007-12-17T10:52:00.000+05:302007-12-17T10:52:00.000+05:30hmm Really great that u people made it to the top....hmm Really great that u people made it to the top. They are seen only in monsoon season.

Also its would be a tiring trek, plan the climbs during evening or early morning. So you save lot of energy. Time between 11-3pm its going to be really hot, if its not cloudy.

Have a litter free trek.
~ V ~Vijeshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18155433751670204131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16805286.post-23534723885875260322007-12-12T14:14:00.000+05:302007-12-12T14:14:00.000+05:30We are planning a trip on 21st ..Are there a lot o...We are planning a trip on 21st ..
Are there a lot of leeches there
And is the trek very dangerous ??Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16805286.post-87515534502528788622007-12-11T13:45:00.000+05:302007-12-11T13:45:00.000+05:30Thanks Harshad. Will do the changes asap. Thanks Harshad.
Will do the changes asap.Vijeshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18155433751670204131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16805286.post-73961252481320349512007-12-11T13:44:00.000+05:302007-12-11T13:44:00.000+05:30A nice blog. Covers our expedition appropriately. ...A nice blog. Covers our expedition appropriately.

To make your blogs (including future ones) of high-quality, you need to make a few corrections. For instance, words need to be spelt correctly including letter case, such as:

1. Kumara Parvata
2. Karnataka
3. Nataraj (Nattu)
4. Dharmasthala
5. Kukke
6. Kukke Subramanya
7. Gangothri (not Gothavari)
8. Bhatta
9. Bhattara Mane (use it in place of Bhatta's house)
10. Survivors
11. Hares
12. Tortoises
13. Bangalore

Also, a few changes:
1. 2+2+4 doesnt make it clear that there were 3 buses. Looks like an aircraft arrangement! :)
2. We packed fruits and snacks, then went to the stream near the temple, then had darshan and finally started the trek.
3. Use Indian words in italics (darshan, Bhattara Mane, mantap, etc.)
4. Mention the fact that although we had great plans of starting by 6 am, we actually managed to leave only by 7:20.
5. Mention about the steep climb and there's an alternate path with lesser risk.
6. Mention that we started the descend from the peak @ 12:05 pm.
7. The second gang descended @ 6:40 pm.
8. It wasnt a spark actually. Nattu was saying all along to have a bath in river. Finally, we gave in to his persistence.
9. What a bath! (replace the question mark)
10. You may also mention how other trekking groups fared: some did not go beyond Bhattara Mane, some returned from the mantap, some halted at the peak, some started from Somwarpet side and got down at Kukke, some did it vice-versa, and some, like us, started from Kukke and ended it there.

Cheers!
~ harshadAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16805286.post-18588374485076949882007-12-11T11:32:00.000+05:302007-12-11T11:32:00.000+05:30I meant plastic waste not paper waste. But one question: By carrying other's paper garbage What do we gain ? Paper is degradable anyway.Sankarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13337547916077401549noreply@blogger.com
